A segment of Ameenee Magu starting from the Maafannu Stadium area has been temporarily closed to vehicular traffic to accommodate ongoing road redevelopment works. Authorities have blocked off access along this stretch to facilitate asphalt laying, underground utility installation, and sidewalk upgrades.
Drivers and pedestrians heading through Maafannu are advised to use alternative routes, such as Boduthakurufaanu Magu or Kanba Aisa Rani Hingun, to avoid delays. Police and traffic wardens have been stationed at key intersections near the stadium to assist with traffic flow and divert vehicles safely around the construction zone.
